“Taking the time to build community, to get to know your people, will have long-lasting benefits” – Clifton Taulbert
About
Harrison Hill was built by Hilgeman & Schaaf in 1915 as the preeminent community in the heart of south Fort Wayne. It was developed to sit 35 to 50 feet above the grounds of the downtown court house, giving it the “hill” in its name. The vision was to create a neighborhood that could overlook the city to the north and over the rolling country to the south. Still to this day, the views of the downtown skyline are prominent.
Our active neighborhood hosts events year-round, from beautification projects to social gatherings. In particular, the Association creates events to meet the needs of a diverse, family-oriented community.
Our Neighborhood Association focuses on building a sustainable, inclusive, and vibrant neighborhood where each resident is involved and invests in the success of our area of town. We welcome involvement and support from all.
